أقامت بعثة الأمم المتحدة متعددة الأبعاد لتحقيق السلام في وسط أفريقيا، أمس الجمعة حفلا خاصا لتكريم عسكريين موريتانيين، بعد انتهاء مهامهم في إطار البعثة.
الحفل الذي حضره قائد شرطة الأمم المتحدة، ونائب الممثل الخاص للأمين العام للأمم المتحدة في وسط أفريقيا، تم خلاله تقليد ميدالية الأمم المتحدة لـ 140 من ضباط وجنود قوات الدرك الموريتاني، المتمركزين في بانغي.
ويأتي هذا التكريم، لـ”إثبات الاعتراف” بخدمة العسكريين الموريتانيين في إطار مهمة الحفاظ على السلام في وسط أفريقيا، حسب الأمم المتحدة.
